Letter from the Publisher August 2018

It’s that time of year once again—back-to-school season is here, and whether you’re the parent of kindergartener or college student, this transition from a relaxed summer to a more structured routine can feel hectic. In the midst of shopping for number-two pencils, making healthy lunches, organizing the carpool, monitoring the homework grind and flitting between extracurricular activities, your personal sanity and well-being can get lost in the shuffle.

 

But fear not, back-to-school warriors: this month’s issue of Natural Awakenings is loaded with advice on how to prioritize your whole family’s health—including your own—no matter how demanding that schedule might be. 

 

Our feature article for August is on the topic of “Simplified Parenting” which anyone raising school-age children can attest is an undeniable necessity.
