International Mediumship Weekend

Explore different facets of mediumship from across the globe in the International Mediumship Weekend, and exciting new series of classes and workshops coming to The Spirit University from Friday, January 11th to Sunday, January 13th.

American mediums Janet Nohavec and Joseph Shiel will be joined by British medium Colin Bates in an enlightening demonstration of professional mediums at work.  As they explore both American and British styles of mediumship, you will discover what makes them different, and how you can use methods from both styles to improve your own mediumship abilities.  This is a rare opportunity to learn about the British style of mediumship without having to travel out of the States.

Rev. Janet Nohavec is internationally known for her evidential mediumship. She is an approved overseas tutor for the prestigious Arthur Findlay College in Stansted, England. A former Roman Catholic nun, she has been featured extensively on television, radio and printed press. Her client base extends to over 20 countries and her private reading waitlist runs over a year. Her evidential form of mediumship has been researched by several university groups. Her private practice and church are based in Pompton Lakes, NJ.

Joseph Shiel is an evidential medium, spirit artist, award-winning teacher. Internationally known for his accuracy, integrity and commitment to others, he has devoted his life to service of Spirit and those seeking love, healing and growth. He shares his remarkable talents with students, clients and audiences around the world; teaching, speaking, healing and performing private and public demonstrations of evidential mediumship and spirit art deemed by many as “Portraits from Heaven.” His exceptionally rare gifts make him one of the most sought-after mediums, consulting for politicians, CEO’s, celebrities and all those seeking healing and insight.

Minister Colin Bates is a tutor and course organizer at The Arthur Findlay College, Stansted, England.  For the last twenty years, he has explored and taught the many pathways of the Spirit.  He finds joy in meeting and teaching the many people who have a unique ability to touch that world and wish to strengthen and improve their individual understanding of the techniques involved in mediumistic and spiritual development.

On Friday, January 11th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., get an in-depth explanation on trance mediumship in Natural Trance States with Colin Bates.  Trance mediumship is used to allow a spirit to interconnect directly through a person’s physical body.  A medium needs intense focus to induce the trance state, and many need to practice for years to perfect their method. This is a wonderful class for students of all experience levels to learn how to use trance mediumship as a tool to bring messages from Spirit.

From there, Janet, Joseph, and Colin will jump into a message gallery from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. with Demonstrations of Mediumship.  This is your chance to see these highly skilled mediums in action. You may receive messages from loved ones in Spirit. All who attend will get to witness the fascinating ways these mediums work.

On Saturday, January 12, join Joseph Shiel for a Platform Mediumship Workshop, where you can learn how to give meaningful, evidential messages to large audiences of people.  Giving messages is one thing, but many mediums are blindsided by the difficulty of doing mediumship on platform for the first time.  Joseph will demonstrate the skills you need to be a successful platform medium, from the perspective of someone who has done over one hundred platform mediumship galleries!

On Sunday, January 13th, Janet Nohavec will explain the practice of mediumship on a more personal level with The Art of Private Consultations Workshop.  Mediumship by its nature often involves subjects that are difficult to discuss. As a medium, it is your job to bring messages in a way that brings your client comfort and closure. So, how do you do that when you are communicating with a loved one in Spirit who passed in a way that was sudden and tragic?  A great medium can make a message life-changing in positive way, even when the circumstances are difficult. Janet will explore this topic and guide you through bringing messages at your highest and best.

From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., you will have a second chance to witness Janet Nohavec, Joseph Shiel, and Colin Bates in action as they demonstrate mediumship in a message gallery. All galleries are different, and you never know if a loved one in Spirit who did not come through the first time might want to give you a message. This is your last opportunity to see these three incredible mediums at work! For mediums or anyone who is interested in mediumship, this block-buster weekend is a must-see event.
