Chinese Health Gem of the Month: Enhancing the Core of Your Health

With strong circulation, our bodies flourish, our bones are resilient, our tendons and joints are supple and lubricated, our minds are sharp, and our lives are enriched. But without strong circulation, our bodies are weakened, we lack energy, our bones deteriorate, arthritis prevails, toxins build up in our bodies, we develop poor eyesight and hearing, our minds become dulled, and our quality of life diminishes. Circulation is also the engine behind our immune systems. Strong circulation means healthy immune function. 

The Chinese believe that strong circulation is the key to vibrant life. And the most optimal ways to maintain that circulation are absolutely free—breathing, walking and dancing. Breathing in the fresh air and trees allows the body to absorb oxygen, flush out carbon dioxide, expand lung capacity, relax the muscles and tendons, strengthen the limbs and develop a focused mind.  

Walking promotes overall circulation in the body, strengthens the muscles, and improves cardiac functions. Dancing is another ideal outlet to release negative emotions, develop and build positive energy, improve cardiovascular function, and experience a mood boost. So take time away from that busy schedule to breathe, walk and dance. The mind and body will thank you for it!
