“Sooth Your Sole” at Heart and Sole Organics

Do your feet hurt?  Reflexology might be the solution. When the feet are positioned in shoes that prevent your foot from flexing, over time, they will become inflexible which causes pain, discomfort and related issues.

When the foot is flexed as in walking, running or even shifting your weight, the circulation is increased from the plexus of veins within the foot that act as a pump, returning blood back to the heart. Medical research indicates that feet which aren’t flexed for sustained periods become swollen which might contribute to the onset of thrombosis. The foot arches aid in returning blood to the heart, so it’s important to keep moving for healthy circulation.

One of the positive attributes of foot reflexology is that it increases circulation in the body. Studies conducted on reflexology were found to be effective for increasing arterial blood flow. Reflexology appeared to help regulate functional blood disturbances to various organs such as the lung, liver, stomach pancreas and intestines. Many people seek out reflexology as a last resort to alleviate their painful feet. Often, these same people feel lighter and more alive just after one reflexology session.

Cindy Heard, LMT, LE, Certified IIR Reflexologist at Heart and Sole Organics, offers $10 off any regular priced one-hour service or more for first time clients. Other services offered include organic facial treatments and therapeutic massage.
