How You Can Tackle Low Self-Confidence

by Shana Rosenthal, Certified Consulting Hypnotist

People endure highs and lows in confidence levels throughout their lifetimes, but for some individuals, certain experiences can make it challenging to fully regain their confidence. From attending parties or social gatherings to giving presentations, multiple scenarios leave many feeling the effects of low confidence. This also affects self-worth and self-esteem which can have a harmful effect on all areas of life.

People who lack confidence often seem introverted and nervous which might come across as anti-social, guarded and unfriendly. This is often far from the truth, however. Bullying at school or demanding parents can establish an environment that influences the type of conditioning a person receives in childhood, and these situations often create the ideal breeding ground for self-esteem issues.

If this low confidence goes unresolved, it can result in other problems such as difficulty asserting oneself, feelings of unfulfillment, emotional stress and even depression. To prevent these issues from escalating, it is important to seek help without delay, as negative thinking patterns can rapidly develop and spiral out of control. Low self-confidence often has major ramifications on both personal and professional areas of life. It can affect social interactions, family relationships, job interviews and meetings in the office.

Fortunately, low self-confidence can be remedied easily, as most sufferers have just learned this pattern of feeling through “stories” they have told themselves repeatedly. These messages are often instigated in childhood, then built upon by events throughout their lives, eventually becoming self-fulfilling prophecies.

By replacing these habitual thinking styles and creating new frames of thought, confidence levels can be increased easily. As confidence begins to improve, self-esteem will also increase which creates a constructive reaction cycle to positively impact one’s quality of life. Improvements in relationships can also take place which fuels even more confidence and self-esteem.

Hypnosis is among the most effective ways of dealing with low self-confidence because it quickly helps to make significant improvements by identifying the root cause of an issue. Shana Rosenthal, a Certified Consulting Hypnotist with several years of experience in guiding her clients to release emotional blocks, states, “Identifying the origin of what caused this negative thinking style, using hypnosis, is often deeply intense and liberating.

Once this has occurred, people are then free to rebuild more positive thinking styles which begin to create a beneficial feedback loop. I feel honored to have been witness to many clients who have achieved astounding life-changing shifts in a matter of three to five sessions. Guiding people to experience the power of their own minds through hypnosis never ceases to amaze me.”

She continues, In fact, one of the most common uses of hypnosis is confidence boosting. It is a perfect modality to re-educate the subconscious mind, giving the client control over responses where previously conscious control had been lost. Hypnosis is a gentle, enjoyable and naturally occurring state of heightened awareness. It is always advisable to seek a highly trained, experienced Certified Hypnotist to guarantee a positive experience.
