Letter from the Publisher November 2018
It’s already November, and you know what that means—the holiday season is just around the corner. As we look forward to Thanksgiving, now is the perfect time to practice gratitude and reflect on what truly matters in our lives. This issue of Natural Awakenings is packed with inspiration to fill you with a grateful heart and usher in some holiday spirit. Here’s a peek of all that’s awaiting you inside!
To kickoff the festivities, our “Daily Goodness of Gratefulness” article discusses how serving in the local community is both a practical and meaningful way to make a difference in this season of giving. Whether you’re donating to a canned food drive or passing out meals at a homeless shelter, there are various opportunities to take action and impact the lives of our neighbors this time of year. And like this article points out, the more we invest in other people, the more gratitude we can experience for ourselves.
Next on the docket, this month’s “Inspiration” column focuses on the practice of manifesting abundance. This means inviting the energy of wholeness and provision into our daily routines, and operating from contentment rather than a fear of scarcity. Keeping this intention at the forefront of our relationships, careers, families and personal growth can transform our entire outlook on various circumstances. As this season of gratitude and the transition of a new year approaches, there is no better time than to embrace this mindset of abundance.
And of course, with the anticipation of Thanksgiving, comes the excitement of feasting because what are the holidays without food? Our “Conscious Eating” article for this month features a roundup of plant-based desserts for all the indulgence sans the guilt. These recipes are both delicious and nutritious, so don’t even think twice about a second helping—your taste buds and waistline are both in for a treat!
As usual, this is just scratching the surface of what our latest issue has to offer. I hope you find enlightenment and enjoyment inside these pages. Please send comments, questions or feedback to Publisher@NASRQ, and happy Thanksgiving from the Natural Awakenings team!Edit ModuleShow Tags
