June Letter From the Publisher

Jun 01, 2011 12:41PM

Natural Awakenings is pleased to announce the launch of a new powerhouse website supporting our community. Local magazine articles, news briefs, advertising, resource guides and calendars are now just a click away. The Natural Awakenings editorial library is also available throughout the site, offering classic interviews and timeless articles. The power of this new site will add a valuable component to the very popular print magazine.

Sharon Bruckman, founder and CEO of the Natural Awakenings franchised network of more than 80 magazines had this to say about the new site, “We are happy to reach a whole new audience of readers this way and to give a special group of advertisers such a strong entry onto the Internet. Working with Project Manager Bill Van Arsdale and Publisher Jason Cross, we have created a site that will connect the eco-conscious, holistic community in practical and helpful new ways.”

My favorite part is the opportunity for our area’s healthy living businesses to tell their story. We want to share with our readers the personalities and interesting details behind these businesses and keep their stories on the site as a kind of mosaic of our community.

Natural Awakenings’ popular local print calendar and Community Resource Guide are now searchable by topic, date or keyword. They are dynamic and allow for much more information, including photos, web links, videos and maps. Calendar events can now be submitted online for both our print and online calendars.

During the next few months, we will add coupons, contests, blogs and a web store. You can enter now to win a kayak by signing up for our weekly e-news. Just go to our website, at nasrq.com and click on the Up the Creek Without a Paddle contest.

Our mission is to provide practical and exciting information that readers, businesses and customers find of ongoing usefulness in their daily lives.

Visit the new website at nasrq.com today.
