Cat Depot, 2542 17th Street in Sarasota, will host a fund-raising Carnival on Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 10am to 4pm. Families with kids and teens are invited to a fun day of games and activities!

Over 300 kids and teens from dance studios, gymnastics groups, karate classes, and a whole lot more will provide entertainment throughout the day, starting at 10:30a.m. Activities will also include the reading of “If You Give Your Cat A Cupcake,” adoption center tours, K-9 Rescue, Save the Florida Panther, petting zoo with ponies and some of our favorite friends, and of course, CATS!

Parking is free (handicap parking included) and shuttles will be available for transport to Cat Depot and parking areas. Entry is also free, with tickets available for purchase for games, food and raffles.

“Our committee is pulling out all the stops to make this event a day of fun for the entire family. We hope that everyone will come early and stay late. The Kids, Cats and Cupcake Carnival may well be one of your family’s fondest memories!” said Shelley Thayer, Executive Director.

Cat Depot, a rescue, adoption, education and resource center, is dedicated to helping abandoned, homeless and injured cats and kittens (over 125 cats on any one day) with medical care, food and love. All proceeds from the Carnival will benefit the cats.
