A magical Halloween evening on Sunday, October 30, will offer a memorable, enchanted, child-centered Halloween treat for young children and their parents. Music will greet the evening’s guests in an outdoor garden where goodies and refreshments will be available. Donations are appreciated.
Starting at 6:15pm, magical journeys will begin on lantern-lit pathways where fairy tale characters from timeless treasured stories will be offering vignettes and treats. At the end of the walk a marionette puppet story, “The Three Oranges,” accompanied by live music, will delight children of all ages.
Parents are encouraged to guide children in choosing a costume or character from the world of nature or folk tales rather than a commercialized character or cartoon. The simplest home-made type costumes without masks and limited face paint allow children to awaken their own creative imaginations through transforming pieces of cloth into a the garments of a princess or king!
The event will be held at Waldorf Sarasota, an intentional school community serving early childhood through grades. at 6124 Crestwood Avenue in Sarasota. Please RSVP to 941-927-3711.
