K9 Korral Survives Construction

The K9 Korral moved from 15th Street to its current location at 2001 Princeton Street (between 10th and 12th off US 301) in December 2009, renovating a 4,000 square-foot building into a Dog Training and Supply Center.
Noted co-owner Mark Shambour, “As we opened our doors again to the public on January 1st 2010, construction on US 301 from downtown to University Pkwy began. We were struggling to get new customers and hoped our existing customers would follow. There were some days that you could count the cars that went by on your fingers and toes. We picked the location so we could service not only the downtown area but also be convenient to both the greater Sarasota and Bradenton areas.
“We are proud to say that we have planted our roots and anchored our business with amazing growth, and attribute that to our mission: to make every effort to have each customer leave a happy customer.”
Now that US 301 is a beautiful, clean ride, the team at K9 Korral thanks their many customers (and their dogs!) for helping them survive the construction.
