Adopt a Black Cat
What comes to mind when you think of black cats? Some people are superstitious and some just think that black cats are “too plain looking.”
“These people are missing out on knowing the true inner beauty of black cats,” said Theresa Foley, Director of the Venice Cat Coalition. “In Asia and England, black cats are considered lucky.”
“Someone should adopt a cat based on its personality, not the color of its fur,” she continued. “Black cats tend to have traits including friendliness, loyalty, and a generally goodnatured personality. Black cats are unique and have their own magic. Unfortunately, black kitties find it harder than others to be adopted, through no fault of their own. Those who know the true beauty of black cats say that every home with cats should have a black cat!”
The Venice Cat Coalition has black cats and kittens available for adoption. Every VCC cat has been spayed/neutered, has current vaccination shots, has tested negative for feline diseases and has a microchip in place. They are ready and waiting to be your loving companion.
