Beginners Yoga Series Starts in September
Did you ever want to try yoga but felt intimidated about joining a class at the Y, your health club, or a yoga center? You felt that as a beginner you would lag behind everyone else in the class? You have heard that yoga is good for stress reduction, but thinking about taking a class is already causing you stress?
In response to this common phenomenon, Sarasota Yoga instructor Gary Halperin is offering his popular 4-week beginners yoga series on Thursdays from 5:45 to 6:45 pm from September 6 to 27. These 4 classes are designed to prepare someone new to yoga to join any ongoing yoga class. The series will teach standard yoga postures and emphasize body awareness and safety.
“This is a perfect opportunity for a newcomer to yoga to take a class with other beginners and learn the basics. In four classes, you can learn everything you need to know to feel comfortable joining any ongoing class,” says Gary Halperin.
“You will learn that everybody and anybody can do yoga. You do not need to be fit or flexible to begin a class. Yoga will help you to become stronger, more flexible, and more aware of your body and breath.”
To participate you must register in advance with payment by August 31.
