Transition Sarasota presents “Fixing the Future,” a new film featuring sustainable solutions to the economic crisis. Its Sarasota/Manatee premier will occur on Wednesday, November 7 from 7pm to 9pm at the Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center, 525 Kumquat Court in Sarasota.
This film offers sustainable economic solutions that are not often discussed in the mainstream media. Some of these solutions can help individuals improve their economic situation, while others may benefit local, independent businesses and the entire Sarasota/Manatee community.
In “Fixing the Future,” host David Brancaccio of public radio’s “Marketplace” and “NOW” on PBS, visits people and organizations across America that are reinventing the American economy. By featuring communities using sustainable approaches to create jobs and build prosperity, this film inspires hope and renewal in a people overwhelmed by economic collapse.
