Parkinson Place Offers Support for Patients and Caregivers

Parkinson Place, a resource center for people with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers, recently opened at 5969 Cattleridge Blvd., Suite 100, in Sarasota. The facility includes a 2,000 square foot auditorium for programs, conference and community events; an information resource center; and a lending room for durable medical equipment. Programs, all of which are free, include exercise, nutrition, empowerment and counseling.
 
The center is a program of the Parkinson Research Foundation, a national nonprofi t organization. Hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 4:30pm. For a schedule of classes and lectures, visit parkinsonplace.org/events.
