Selby Foundation Grant Benefits USFSM Science Program

The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee recently received a $150,000 grant from the William G. and Marie Selby Foundation to support its scientific program expansion on the Mote Marine campus. Funds will be used to build out science classrooms and laboratories in the $4 million science wing of Mote Marine.
Construction is slated to begin by January 2013 and finish in August 2013, when USFSM’s first underclassmen arrive on campus. Through the continued support of foundation, corporate and individual contributions, USFSM is poised to provide undergraduate students a unique model for scientific research and educate the next generation of STEM-field leaders.
For information on giving opportunities for USFSM, contact Dennis Stover, Regional Vice Chancellor of University Advancement, at 941-359-4582.
