Testing Offered for Mental Health Issues

Restorative Medical Center now offers several innovative tests looking for the source of common mood disorders. One is a NeruoGenomic Profile from Genova Diagnostics. It requires a simple blood sample to evaluate the genes used in methylation, detoxification and oxidative protection. If you have an issue in any one of these areas you will have a build up of toxins that can lead to mood disorders and more.
A second test is the NutrEval Plasma test from Genova Diagnostics. It requires a blood sample to check for deficiencies in all vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, Omega 3s, amino acids, pancreatic enzymes, probiotics, and more. Deficiencies of these are often the cause of mood disorders.
The company also offers a neuroendocrine marker urine test by Age Diagnostic Laboratories. It tests dopamine, noradrenalin, adrenergic, and serotonin activity. A deficiency or excess of one or more of these causes mood disorders. We know we do not have a deficiency in anti-depressants, so this gets to the root cause of disease instead of masking symptoms.
