Aerial Yoga Teacher Certification Premiers at CircuSoul

CircuSoul, a yoga school with indoor and outdoor yoga classes in Sarasota, specializes in aerial yoga and aerial yoga certifications, and also offers mat-based yoga workshops.
From July 7 through 20, 9am to 6pm, the school’s director, Kerry Tice, will lead an intensive aerial yoga certification course that combines Tice’s years of trapeze work with the circus with his yoga experience. The only program of its kind, it is not available anywhere else in the nation.
The two-week course spans 112 contact hours for aerial yoga certification, plus 10 hours of electives and outside assignments, 10 hours of video teaching and 35 hours of aerial Sadhana. Training days consist of a mixture of lecture, teacher training practice, aerial yoga classes, demonstrations, and discussions.
Topics include Flying Yoga A, B, C series; counter-indications; anatomy and physiology; inversion science; manual assists; yoga therapy; yin yoga; aerial strengthening; gentle aerial yoga; safety, rigging, spotting; teaching practice; karma yoga; yoga philosophy and ethics; and BIG yoga.
After completing the hours for aerial yoga certification, students enter a period of apprenticeship. During this time they will hone their skills of observation, demonstration and proper verbal cues.No prior experience is required; the class is limited to 13 students and registration closes on July 6.
