Pilates Body Expands to Second Location
Sep 03, 2013 08:37PM
Pilates Body owner Joanne Hayashi has opened a studio at 3512 S. Osprey Avenue in Sarasota as an additional location to the original space at 1071 Tuttle Ave. #2. The studios offer small group classes, duets or one-on-one training. She is a Certified Gyrotonic®, Gyrokinesis® and Pilates Instructor.
Private studios and individually focused exercise options may seem to be something only for the rich, but The Pilates Body is breaking that myth and owner Joanne Hayashi is focused on providing the benefits of Pilates and Gyrotonics training to all. Their affordable group classes have become so popular that an additional studio space at 3512 S. Osprey Ave in Sarasota recently opened. Joanne and her team of instructors continue to provide individually focused attention to their students in a group environment at both studios.
Gyrotonics was originally designed by Juliu Horvath a ballet dancer whose career was interrupted by an injury. He developed a holistic approach to movement and designed the Pulley tower and base to provide constant resistance. Joanne stresses that her studio is unique because it allows the student to choose between Pilates and Gyrotonic classes. This provides the flexibility so the student can find what is best for their individual needs.
Pilates and Gyroptonics can be a perfect complement for injury recovery, stretching, strengthening and improving ones all over wellbeing. Hyashi’s vision for her students is simply “to be at home in one’s body, free of pain, unrestricted and uninhibited and the be one with the nature of oneself and to be total and fulfilled.”
