Garden of the Heart Celebrates November with Special Events

November is a full month at the Garden of the Heart Yoga Center, 2888 Ringling Blvd. in Sarasota. Studio Director Cheryl Chaffee announced several opportunities for seva, (service) this month brings.
 
In addition to regular classes and special weekend workshop, November 8 through 10 with guest presenter, Todd Norian.
 
In recognition of Veterans Day, Garden of the Heart is offering a 10% discount on yoga and meditation classes to all veterans and military service members, all month long. Cheryl recently completed advanced training with the Warriors at Ease program, which specializes in bringing yoga to military service personnel and veterans with combat-related stress, PTSD, and traumatic brain injury.
 
November 16th is International Restorative Yoga Day! To celebrate, restorative yoga teacher Eva Saunders will lead a special two-hour restorative yoga class from 1pm to 3pm. All are welcome to receive this deeply nourishing, relaxing practice that will replenish the body, mind, and spirit.
 
For Thanksgiving, Garden of the Heart is holding its annual Thanksgiving morning class, from 9:30am to 11:30am, on Thursday, November 28. This year, the class led by Cheryl is entirely donation based, with 100% of the money going to Sarasota’s All Faiths Food Bank. This class is open to yoga students of all levels, family members, and anyone from the community. This class will fill to capacity, so please make a reservation online. Participants are invited to bring boxed or canned food items to kick off the Garden of the Heart annual food drive.
