The Write Way to Survive a Divorce
Nov 04, 2013 07:45PM
Ginny East of ReFlex Arts will present a writing workshop to regain balance, heal and move forward following the end of a relationship. The workshop is scheduled on Monday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, November 4 through December 2, at the Heartwood Retreat Center, 17505 Waterline Road in Bradenton.
This course is designed to address the needs of those struggling with grief, fury, fear, or disappointment over the end of a relationship. The solution may be to go deeper in rather than distancing yourself and burying your pain. Learning to direct our feelings through writing can help keep negativity from affecting our health and happiness.
Whether the loss is fresh, happened in the past, or is soon to come, this writing workshop helps participants find grace in transition with exercises designed to promote authentic forgiveness, feelings of self-worth and renewal, while also helping participants recognize gifts from life’s experiences – even if those gifts are nothing more than hard lessons that help us grow.
We often cannot change painful things that have happened, but we can change how to frame those experiences and shift our perspective to reclaim balance.
