Sub-Atomic Bazaar Kickoff Party Features The Wholetones
Nov 04, 2013 07:26PM
Atomic Holiday Bazaar and WSLR 96.5 are joining forces to host the Sub-Atomic Bazaar on November 2 and 3 to benefit Sarasota’s community radio station. Atomic’s indie artists and crafters in the company of the Wholetone’s unique mix of bluegrass, folk, jazz and metal is the perfect union for the Saturday evening kick-off event.
On Saturday, The Wholetones combine impressive technical skill with the spontaneity of jazz and drive of bluegrass in a captivating live show, jumping from folk to metal as easily as they do from banjo to cello. There will also be a vintage fashion show. Live music starts at 8pm.
On Sunday, November 3, from noon to 4pm, the benefit continues with Atomic vendors, acoustic music and DJs.
Food trucks, libations, indie crafts and live music will keep the party going, but this is a fundraiser so look for the snappy humans dressed in vintage who will be selling raffle tickets for a large collection of items donated by Atomic’s indie crafter and artists, along with gift certificates from local business establishments.
In addition to the fundraiser, there is an art show featuring art for sale representing all things music, from deceased rock stars, instruments, and living music icons.
