Rising Tide International to Host Eliyahu McLean

Nov 29, 2013 03:11PM

Jerusalem Peacemaker Eliyahu McLean and friends will be joining with Rising Tide International founder Shahabuddin David Less for a day-long series of events on December 8, designed to raise awareness and funds for peacemaking efforts in Jerusalem. The event is sponsored by Rising Tide, 5102 Swift Road, Sarasota, through the Abrahamic Reunion.

The Sunday dedicated to peace will begin with Shahabbudin David Less leading the Universal Worship Service, a service honoring all of the world’s major religions on one altar from 10:30am until 11:30am. After the service, a luncheon will be held with Eliyahu and David from noon to 1:30pm, where they will share stories of their decade together working with the Abrahamic Reunion to forge inroads of peace in the Holy Land.

The afternoon session with Eliyahu, entitled “Lights of Peace: Creating peace in the Holy Land as a Spiritual Practice,” is from 1:30pm to 4:30pm. During this session, Eliyahu will share stories of hope from the Holy Land of Israeli-Palestinian peace efforts that don’t make mainstream news, stories of interfaith peacemaking, the spiritual nature of peace, making peace, and pursuing peace.

Shahabuddin David Less and Eliyahu McLean have worked for the last 10 years with the Abrahamic Reunion, Jerusalem Peacemakers, and other organizations to forge interfaith alliances in the Holy Land. Eliyahu McLean lives in Jerusalem. All money raised goes to Peacemaking Efforts.
