It’s a new season, a new reason, to reflect on the past and plan for the future, and I encourage all of our readers to take that step. Not just turning a page of a calendar, but making a new direction in our lives.
I am so proud of what our team here at Natural Awakenings has produced for you this year as well as many in the past, I hope the info has been helpful and has introduced you to opportunities for spiritual and physical health.
It's hard to believe that seven years ago I began the process of taking over our local edition of Natural Awakenings magazine. What an amazing time it has been as publisher of the area's only natural living publication. Sure, there were challenges, but for the most part, the journey has been life enhancing, not only for me, but for many of our readers who have reached out with thanks, and for our advertisers who have helped so many.
I have met and become friends with like-minded and wonderful people through my efforts with the magazine. Many of these relationships will continue for years to come. Through Natural Awakenings I have grown both personally and professionally. That growth has led me to new endeavors, and the ability to pursue some of my passions in life.
I am passing on the torch of publisher of Natural Awakenings, and am pleased to announce that we have found just the right person as the new publisher of our longstanding magazine, Janet Lindsay. I’m confident that you will find her touch to be consistent to what we have offered over the past two decades, but with her personal and professional input. She is committed to continue the legacy of quality editorial within these pages.
Many of you might not know this, but this month marks the 20th anniversary of America's favorite local natural living publication. Thank you to our editors, readers, contributors and supporters who have made Natural Awakenings a natural awakening for so many.
Happy New Year to all, and best wishes to Janet and her crew for continuing the legacy of Natural Awakenings, Sarasota, Manatee and Peace River editions. And to all of our readers, from me, Good Night.
