Vaudeville World Premiere Slated for April

On April 18 and 19, experience the history of Vaudeville at the Historic Carasota Opera House. Show times are 6 to 7:30 p.m. and 9 to 10:30 p.m. on Friday; and 2 to 3:30 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Originating in the 19th century as a theatrical genre of entertainment, vaudeville is dubbed 'the heart of American show business.'
Experience family-friendly entertainment that encompasses an all-star cast with world-renowned artists that come together on one stage to debut spectacular performances. From classical and operatic music, to dog shows and theatre, Vaudeville will feature a series of varying performances that combine skilled artistry with powerful athleticism, and breath-taking theatrics. It will be the perfect mix of an intriguing blend of laughs, high-energy thrills and expertise in performing arts.
Coming together on one bill, host Sarah Razmann presents the audience with musical performances from Maestro John F. Spencer IV, Italian Harpist Giuseppina Ciarla, Opera Baritone Sean Anderson, and American Vocalist Jodi Katz. International Circus Performer Robert Muraine, Slack Wire Artist Evgeny Vasilenko, and Icarian Duo, George Coronas and Miles Ashton are part of the several acrobatic performers. Vaudeville will also feature Sarasota entertainers Betty Comora and Alex Foster in the segment Voix De Ville Sarasota, highlighting local talent and the voices of the city, at the world premiere.
