Celebrate Valentine's Day with a Partners Yoga Workshop
Beginners through advanced yoga practitioners will experience lessons in communication and unity in this two hour workshop, led by Brook Brook Longobardi, CYI, at 10:45 a.m. on February 15 at Alternative Therapy, in Bradenton.
'You don't have to be a 'couple' to participate in Partners Yoga,' explained Brook, a 15-year practitioner and certifi ed instructor. 'Mothers and daughters, fathers and sons, friends, co-workers and of course couples are welcome to attend this alignment-based, mixed level class.'
The workshop is designed to deepen the students' awareness of their body as it relates to the presence of another. Clear communication and a willingness to listen are keys to success in asana partnering.
'Fostering unity and encouraging students to see themselves in others is my goal in offering this workshop,' she said, adding that she hopes that by exploring each other's different approaches, students can recognize common ground and improve how they relate to each other and the world. Reservations are recommended as space is limited.
Partners Yoga will be held at Alternative Therapy, 6108 26th St. West in Bradenton. For cost and additional information about this event and her other classes, call 941-727-1500.
