FWMS Presents ’The Future of Warm Mineral Springs’

On March 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., The Friends of Warm Mineral Springs will host renowned conservationists, divers, engineers and scientists to discuss the future of Sarasota County’s Warm Mineral Springs. Will the springs remain a unique world class treasure, or is it a looming environmental tragedy? The environmental impact of the lack of stewardship of Florida’s springs, including Warm Mineral Springs in North Port, will be discussed and illustrated through underwater photographs.
Keynote speakers are John Moran and Leslie Gamble, co-creators of the Springs Eternal Project; Robert L. Knight, PhD, environmental scientist and founder and president of the Florida Springs Institute; and Mike Ange, an experienced diver who has completed scientifi c and media expeditions around the world.
