Jin Shin Jyutsu® Playshops Offer Self-Care Tips

Widely known more than 3,000 years ago, Jin Shin Jyutsu was dramatically revived by Japanese Master Jiro Murai in 1912 after he cleared himself of a “terminal” illness. A unique healing art, Jin Shin Jyutsu encompasses a physiophilosophy, a physio-psychology, and a physio-physiology. It enhances the body-mind-spirit connection while providing tools to maintain and restore the harmonious fl ow of life energy for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Applied to the body through gentle touch to vital energy centers, it can be received from a trained practitioner or applied to one’s self.
A 2013 Natural Awakenings (“Nattie”) Awards “Favorite Energy Healer” award-winner, Michelle Giambra, of Suncoast Jin Shin Jyutsu, developed these playshops as a fun and effective way of sharing how this profound ancient art may be used to address the needs of modern-day lifestyle challenges. A certifi ed practitioner and self-help instructor for more than 16 years, Giambra also provides personal, oneon- one, hands-on energy balancing sessions in her studio at Rosemary Court Yoga.
