Englewood Celebrates Earth Day

The second annual Earth Day Festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., April 27, at Buchans Park, in Englewood. Activities include educational workshops, presentations by local environmental groups, live World music and drumming, kid-friendly activities and crafts, yoga demonstrations, hula hooping, intuitive readings, raffl es, plant sales, arts and crafts from local artists and healthy foods for the whole family.

Children and their families will learn how to make their environment healthier by adopting sustainable habits through art and demos, learn about programs in the local schools and summer camps and participate in Earth-friendly trivia with a chance to win two new bicycles. Grown-ups can participate in raffl es for great prizes, including SUP Englewood Paddleboard tours.

This Englewood community event is organized by the Open Studio and Mango Bistro and sponsored by the Englewood CRA, the Englewood Farmers’ Market and the Olde Englewood Village Association.
