Eco-friendly Wellness Center and Spa on Anna Maria Island

Jul 31, 2014 10:24PM

Aluna Wellness is a holistic wellness center and spa located on Anna Maria Island, directly across from the beach. Aluna Wellness, owned by Tricia Graziano, a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, includes a team of five other licensed and experienced health professionals.

Inspired by the wisdom and traditions of ancient cultures – complimented by the beauty and barrier of the island – the name Aluna comes from a Kogi Indian word meaning “pure potential” and “creation,” chosen to represent the belief that we have the ability to create anything we desire in this life.

The Center is an eco-friendly facility and was intentionally designed to encompass all the elements of nature. It boasts four treatment rooms, a relaxation room with private loungers, a meditation room and a spa garden with an outdoor fully enclosed shower.

Beach yoga is taught on Fridays at 8:30 a.m., weather permitting. Donations are accepted. Parking is available at Aluna Wellness. Advance RSVP is required as there must be a minimum number of participants for the class. Meditation classes are offered every Wednesday at 6 p.m. Space is limited; please call for costs or to reserve your spot.

Aluna Wellness offers a wide variety of therapies, including acupuncture, massage therapy, cold laser therapy, energy medicine, organic skincare, infrared sauna therapy, beach yoga, meditation classes and spiritual-based workshops. All treatments hold the intention of Aluna’s core philosophy that we have the potential to heal and transform ourselves through our thoughts, perceptions and our ability to let go of stress. When we take time to quiet our thoughts, it allows the mind to let go of old patterns of thinking and feeling, and the body can learn to heal itself.

Location: 2219 Gulf Dr N, Bradenton Beach. For more information, phone 941-778-8400, email [email protected] or visit AlunaWellness.com.
