Are Self-Healing Meditations “Too Good to be True?”
Sep 01, 2014 03:05AM
Imagine yourself lying down or sitting comfortably in a softly-lit room, while you are slowly and gently guided through a series of simple hand placements along your body. Then, imagine that one hour and 15 minutes later, you find your body and mind profoundly relaxed, stress that you had been carrying has dissolved, and you feel lighter, happier and see the world in a refreshingly new way. Does this sound too good to be true? According to recent participants, these Jin Shin Jyutsu Hands-On Self-Healing Meditations are “too good to pass up!”
Widely known more than 3,000 years ago, Jin Shin Jyutsu was dramatically revived by Japanese Master Jiro Murai in 1912 after he cleared himself of a “terminal” illness. A unique healing art, Jin Shin Jyutsu is applied to the body through gentle touch and can be received from a trained practitioner or applied to one’s self.
Led by long-time certified practitioner and self-help instructor, Michelle Giambra, LMT, these Meditations are a simple way to experience the profound harmonizing power of Jin Shin Jyutsu in a quiet, cozy and intimate setting.
A 2013 Natural Choice Awards “Favorite Energy Healer,” Giambra also provides personal, one-on-one, hands-on energy balancing sessions in her studio at Rosemary Court Yoga.
Classes are held every Wednesday in September from 2 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. and the second Friday of each month. Discounts are offered for multiple classes. Class size is very limited. Pre-registration required.
Location: Suncoast Jin Shin Jyutsu in Rosemary Court Yoga. Contact Michelle Giambra, 941-228-2972, [email protected], or SuncoastJSJ.com.
