ARC Capital Campaign Gets Boost

Animal Rescue Coalition closes in on the capital campaign goal of $800,000 after the extraordinarily generous gift made by ARC's board chair, Joanna Pace and her husband David Brackett. Funds will help make low-cost spaying and neutering services more accessible and affordable to low-income pet owners in Sarasota, Manatee, Desoto and Charlotte counties. ARC is building a 3,800 sq/ft spay and neuter clinic just east of I-75 near Fruitville Library, a move that will allow ARC to nearly triple their capacity by increasing the number of procedures up to 30 per day.
A new pledge is helping ARC take a giant step toward meeting its capital campaign goal. Co- founder and philanthropist, Ira Barsky and his wife Lee committed $100,000 in the form of a matching challenge grant. Barsky’s gift will be fulfilled when $700,000 has been raised. ARC has raised $535,000 to date and is currently accepting donations to raise the additional $265,000 needed to qualify for this gift.
