This course is designed for those, looking to deepen their own understanding, or healthcare practitioners, looking to add ayurvedic principles to their practice.      

     Learn the basic principles and theory of Ayurveda for personal benefit and transformation, as well as learning how to mentor others in a holistic approach to health and wellness.
     This 100-hour course begins with introducing and understanding practical ways to incorporate the ancient knowledge of Ayurveda into modern life. Students are encouraged to incorporate Ayurveda practices into their lives to understand the true power of nature’s homeopathic healing properties. They will be taught the tools necessary to bring these elements into the lives of their clients, as well, offering the potential to create a whole new income stream for wellness practitioners: yoga teachers, massage therapists, health coaches, etc.
     Students will gain an understanding of Ayurvedic theories including:
* Prakriti/Vikriti (constitution and imbalances) and Doshas
* Ayurvedic anatomy and physiology, which includes understanding of the Gunas (states of mind), Malas (bodily wastes) and Dhatus (bodily tissues).
* Ayurvedic Kitchen: Using food and nutrition to enhance health and wellbeing, as well as learning about spice and herbs to use for better health, optimizing digestion and creating more vibrancy.
* How to facilitate an Ayurvedic consultation and diagnostic assessment tools, such as tongue
examination and pulse reading.
     Course Schedule: (14 sessions), Tuesdays from November 4 through February 24, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., plus one full weekend Panchakarma cleanse. (No meetings: Nov. 25, Dec. 23 & 30.)
