Ninth Annual Sarasota County Sustainable Communities Workshop

Join policy makers, business leaders, researchers, academics and community organizers, as they teach and inspire through information-rich sessions and panel discussions at the 2014 Sarasota County Sustainable Communities Workshop. “Growing Healthy, Resilient and Prosperous Communities” is slated for October 29, from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
The 2014 workshop aims to cultivate innovative thinking and learning about better products, programs and processes for improved health, local food, resiliency and prosperity.
Expert speakers will provide up-to-date information on community strategies and resources for residents, businesses, government agencies and organizations, including concrete action we all can take to grow a sustainable community. Topics include improved health, access to local and healthy food sources, sustainable community solutions that address resiliency business choices and cost savings for community prosperity, among others.
Growing a healthy, prosperous and resilient community requires participation from everyone to identify and implement innovative and appropriate solutions that support community needs.
