Venice Holiday Parade Applicants are Invited
Nov 01, 2014 12:33AM
If you have a Scout troop, marching band, dancing angels, acrobatic team, float or animal group that would add to Venice’s biggest parade, register now for the event on November 29, with kick-off at 5:30 p.m.
“We need to get all registrations in by November 11” Sue Hebert, partner with her husband Bob as an organizer says. “We usually have about 3,000 in the Parade, with 120 local companies, schools, churches, social organizations and music groups involved, and thousands of spectators.”
This 39th annual Parade is funded by the City of Venice, and numerous sponsors through financial and in kind donations. So there is no cost to participants or, of course, to viewers.
Pre-parade entertainment begins at 5 p.m. Drinks and goodies are offered for sale by high school booster clubs, Scouts and local non-profit service groups all along the parade route.
Location: West Venice Avenue. For more information visit VeniceHolidayParade.com or email [email protected].
