Dabbert Gallery “Announces New Exhibit Opening with Artists Reception

On November 6, from 6–8 p.m., Dabbert Gallery will be hosting the opening night of its exhibit “Local Color, Sarasota Inspired,” followed by a reception with the featured artists.
This exhibit will run through December 31, and will showcase seven Sarasota area artists: James Griffin, specializing in interpretive realism infused with glowing light and color; Jeff Cornell, specializing in soft pastel pigments meticulously blended to create dreamlike imagery of figurative realism; William Jerdon, specializing in authentic nudes and sensuous still life subjects; Bill Farnsworth, specializing in light as the element that makes an object “special”; Nancy Turner, specializing in eloquent women’s narratives revealed through soft color harmonies; Christopher Zhang, specializing in realism paintings and has recently opened a studio in Sarasota after relocating from Shanghai; and Martin Dunn, specializing in paintings that “grow to express what I have to say,” by his own description.
