Bhagavad Gita Book Study and Discussion with Erinn Earth
Nov 03, 2015 06:48PM
You are invited to the devapriya Yoga School on Friday evenings at 7 p.m. for rich, diverse conversations on the Indian spiritual epic The Bhagavad Gita. As this group is brand new, we are at the beginning of the story, making this a great time to get started. Week by week, verse by verse, we read, discuss and integrate the sacred lessons. In time, familiarity with characters, setting and circumstances develops.
Gita is worth examination. For some who study long-term, Gita is life-changing. Our empathy with the main character Arjuna who, although an accomplished warrior and yogi, suffers a near emotional and mental collapse when faced with his fate, may cause the student to deeply examine and possibly reform their own psyche. In this story, God offers Arjuna guidance through his ordeal. Today, as students, we apply the lessons Arjuna learned long ago to our own social and psychological dilemmas.
Spiritually nourishing and ever-relieving, the words of Lord Krishna will open and expand consciousness, inspiring us toward liberation of heart and soul. Hot tea and light vegan snacks will be provided.
