The Unitarian Universalist Church of Sarasota Presents “Give My Regards to Broadway”

Vocalist Amy Jo Connours, baritone Jason Stearns and pianist Lee Dougherty-Ross, part of the Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota’s performing outreach series, will perform songs by showtune favorites in “Give My Regards to Broadway” on November 8, 3 p.m., at the Unitarian Universalist Church

Mezzo soprano Connours is a prominent soloist who is active in many local music organizations. Connours is a frequent guest performer at the Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota. Her eclectic repertoire that features silky mezzo tones that cross multiple genres from opera, oratorios and the classics, to jazz and contemporary composers. 

Stearns has built a distinguished reputation with his uniquely dramatic baritone repertoire. He has sung all over the world and has dozens of leading operatic baritone roles to his credit including Broadway musicals, concerts and even the New York Metropolitan Opera.

Dougherty-Ross debuted as piano soloist at age 12 with the Norfolk Symphony Orchestra. She has since performed both nationally and internationally, and her vocal talents have been showcased at New York’s Carnegie Hall, London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Kennedy White House. Along with her husband, Dougherty-Ross founded the Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota.
