To quote a familiar holiday tune, “it’s the most wonderful time of the year!” This season fills me with warmth and contentment as I reconnect with loved ones, reflect on cherished memories and maybe even indulge in a festive cookie—or two!

However, despite the holiday season’s celebratory spirit, we often get caught in the shuffle of searching for that perfect gift, entertaining out-of-town guests, making sure the house is flawlessly decorated, and serving a feast everyone will rave about. When these stressors threaten your sanity, it’s important to utilize calming self-care rituals like meditation, deep breathing or a yoga flow, for example.

Inside this issue, you’ll find advice for achieving balance in the midst of demanding obligations. Check out “Mindful Moments” which demonstrates how to relieve tension, while re-focusing your energy on what truly matters—quality time with family and friends. Also, don’t miss this month’s “Conscious Eating” article, featuring healthy no-bake treats to sweeten a holiday party. In addition, “Healing Ways” explains how essential oils and natural room fragrances make your home a tranquil, restorative space during this hectic time.

As the seasonal “hustle and bustle” gets underway, I hope this issue provides informative, practical and creative tips to maximize you and your family’s festivities. As always, please feel free to email any comments or suggestions to [email protected] Here’s to a joyful holiday season and a happy New Year!
