Turn Back the Hands of Time this New Year
On January 27, 5–7 p.m., visit Abrams Dermatology for a Botox Happy Hour. During this event, Dr. Brad Abrams and Nurse Practitioner Sheryl Wilson will be on-hand performing injections to help you look your best. Botox, a neuromodulator, relaxes fine lines and wrinkles in areas such as the glabella (the "angry lines), forehead and crow’s feet (around the eyes). Botox has been used cosmetically since 2002, and is the only approved treatment for lines and wrinkles.
Juvederm is a hyalronic acid that fills lines around the nose and mouth. Voluma is also a hyalronic acid t used to plump up the cheeks. Hyalronic acid (HA) is a substance found naturally in our bodies. It attracts and holds 1,000 times its weight in water to the area being treated. HA injections typically last between nine and 12 months.
Botox injections have minimal social downtime, but patients might experience redness at injection site. Juvederm and Voluma may require more social downtime, and patients should plan on the possibility of swelling or bruising at the injection site. If this happens, Abrams has a laser to shorten the lifespan of bruising. Botox and Juvederm have long been used in refreshing appearances and helping "turn back the hands of time."
Consultations will be available at this event with Dr. Abrams, Sheryl Wilson NP, and Catherine Deans, LE to discuss the use of Botox, Juvederm and Voluma, along with personalized skin care routines.
Location: 3328 Bee Ridge Rd., Sarasota. Cost: $10 per unit for Botox, $450 per vial for Juvederm, $600 per vial for Voluma. For more information, call 941-926-2300, email [email protected] or visit AbramsDerm.com.
