Four Pillars Announces September Workshops

Throughout this entire month, Four Pillars is bringing various workshops, practitioners and wellness experts to the Sarasota area for enhancing the lives of those in our community. So, bring a friend to these events and, together, you’ll energize and reinvent your mind, body, spirit and social connections! 


  • Your Inner Knowing,” September 8, 7–9 p.m., Cost: $15. Have you experienced unresolved conflict, confusion, anger, emotional pain or loneliness? When these feelings are ignored, your inner knowing is dismissed, and you consequently lose that connection to your guidance system. Human beings crave connection, as the emotional fuel that drives our desire to feel. So, come and learn how to access this inner knowing through insights from Reese Pansano, Founder of One’s Own Way. 


  • Kundalini Yoga: Veteran & Community Workshop for PTSD, September 11, 3–5 p.m., Cost: $25. In honor of 9/11, among the largest traumatic events in U.S. history, Four Pillars and GreenZone Hero are bringing a special guest from New York City to present Kundalini Yoga for PTSD. If you have undergone trauma throughout your life or need an outlet to process the trauma from 9/11, please join us. Kundalini Yoga can help release the residual effects of trauma that often manifest in our bodies. Karisa Judith, also known as Kundalini Karisa, will lead this special event. Pre-registration is required.  


  • Vinyasa Yoga for Love, September 12, 9:30–10:30 a.m., Cost: $15. Vinyasa Yoga with Ashley Marston, who has studied at the Nosara Yoga Institute, for living, love and fun. So, join this yoga movement workshop and learn the benefits of breathwork flowing deeply throughout your body. 


  • Ancient Medicine for a Modern World: Acupuncture Today, September 14, 7–9 p.m., Cost: free. Are you stressed out, feeling emotionally downcast, or experiencing neck, shoulder or back pain?  Moreover, is brain fog” part of your daily life? Find out how these issues, among others, can be treated with acupuncture. Brenda Ley is a licensed acupuncturist who utilizes a Japanese style of acupuncture which is gentle yet potent. Make the decision to move beyond these hindrances and join us to learn more about this safe, natural and effective way to achieve sustainable wellness 


  • Essential Oils & Mood Management, September 22, 7–9 p.m., Cost: free. Discover the power of essential oils to support healthy emotions and lead a vibrant life. You’ll leave this workshop knowing how to work with your body chemistry toward balancing emotions and creating a positive lifestyle. You’ll also learn practical steps to empower yourself, friends and family along the journey to emotional well-being. Pre-registration by September 20 is required. 


  • Qi Gong, September 24., Cost: $15. This special Qi Gong class will be facilitated by Dr. Rene Ng, nationally board-certified Licensed Acupuncturist and doctor of Oriental Medicine. His comprehensive knowledge of both these modalities is combined in the practice of ancient healing arts 


  • Kundalini Yoga for Inner Peace, September 26, 9:30–10:45 a.m., Cost: $15. Enjoy a gentle mind, body and spirit Kundalini Yoga experience, complete with healing sounds and essential oils. Join Laurel James, certified Kundalini Yoga instructor, who will lead and educate you on the importance of breathwork to promote inner peace.  


  • The Four Agreements for Relationships, September 29, 7–9 p.m., Cost: $20. In his bestselling book The Four Agreements, Don Miguel Ruiz offers four principles to practice in order to create love and happiness in your own life. Understanding and committing to these agreements is simple, but actually living and keeping these Four Agreements can be among the most difficult challenges you’ll ever face. However, the results can also bring about incredible life-enhancing changes within your relationships. This book discussion class will be facilitated by Cheri Christiansen, life coach and Founder of Four Pillars.
