Yin Yoga Series at Fusion Therapy

Dec 31, 2016 04:56PM

Join Fusion Therapy and Dr. Britt Dienes, AP, DOM, for six weeks of Yin Yoga in the Grande Salt Suite on Thursday evenings, January 12–February 16, 6–7 p.m. Yin Yoga is based on the meridian system at the heart of Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture which compassionately opens the myofascia and gently stretches connective tissue in the joints. Extended holds of basic seated poses interspersed with passive or active rest facilitates access to the connective tissue and lasting structural evolution.

Yin Yoga will guide you deeper into both your body and practice by allowing you to explore the dynamism of stillness. This practice is ideal for beginners and experienced yogis alike. Slip under the yin-fluence, while breathing in the micro-salt particles. Dry Salt Therapy cleans the respiratory system, calms and heals the nervous system, and conditions the skin.

Dr. Dienes is a state- and board-certified Acupuncture Physician and Herbalist. She is also an ERYT200, experienced yoga teacher registered with Yoga Alliance, with a focus on Yin Yoga, functional anatomy and healing sequencing. She believes yoga should be practiced and taught with a full awareness of the sacredness of both practice and practitioner. Her ideal yoga class is slow, meditative and gentle to embrace balance, release grace and uncover strength.

Location: 7069 S Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. Space is limited. To register, call 941-921-7900 or visit
