Four Pillars and Four Pillars Coaching, 501(c)3 organizations dedicated to building a positive foundation for wellness through life coaching and self-care practices, are bringing various workshops, practitioners and experts to the Sarasota community for learning, rejuvenating, and enhancing ones life. February is filled with concepts dedicated to emotions and love. The following events will be offered at Four Pillars throughout this month: 


  • “Love Your Skin: Practical Skincare Basics,” February 2, 7–9 p.m. Do you have a cabinet full of skincare products that you aren’t satisfied with or rarely even use? Then, come to this free skincare workshop and learn about different ingredients like alpha- and beta-hydroxy acids, hyaluronic acid, peptides, retinoids and Vitamin C. Learn about a daily care regimen and receive a free skin analysis. Treatment demonstrations, special gifts and discount offers are also available. 

  • “Modern Day Overwhelm,” February 6, 6:30–8:30 p.m. Do you feel overwhelmed because there just never seems to be enough time to accomplish that to-do list? Chiropractor Dr. Patrick Dower and leadership coach/ mindfulness expert Pavitra Ciavardone will provide information and strategies, that can help you reduce stress in everyday life. Leave with a greater understanding of what causes stress, how it effects your body and how to implement time management for more control over your life choices. 

  • “Author Spotlight Series: The ABC’s of Writing & Publishing a Book,” February 9, 7–9 p.m. Have you dreamed of writing and publishing a book?  In this event workshop series, international best-selling author and writing/publishing coach D.D. Scott will guide you through detailed steps of everything from writing craft, cover design, formatting, promotion and marketing, writing style and space, plotting tips, who are your readers, day one page one and much more.  Each class includes entertaining stories from the author’s own journey and expertise. Her book “The ABC’s of Writing and Publishing a Book” will also be available for purchase. Cost to attend is $10. 

  • “Chakras, Emotions, Oils & Kundalini Yoga,” February 13, 7–9 p.m. Love is all you need––and maybe some essential oils. Come learn about natural solutions and everyday uses of essential oils. Make and take a custom bottle of essential oil perfume for you or your sweetheart this Valentines Day. This workshop is taught by Laurel James, KRI certified Kundalini Yoga instructor, essential oil wellness guide, holistic interior designer and author of Interiorology. She is dedicated to guiding people through their internal and external environmental journey using yoga, essential oils and beautiful surroundings. Cost for a bottle blend is $5. 

  • “Author Spotlight Series: I Am Good Enough,” February 15, 7–9 p.m. In this event workshop series, D.D. Scott will guide you through your own spiritual awakening in a light-hearted way through coaching expertise and spiritual concepts. She believes that whenever you’re looking for a certain piece of information, it appears––presented by modern spiritual teachers living according to the lessons taught by ancient gurus. She shares lessons that have been practiced successfully for thousands and thousands of years across all cultures, continents and cosmic realms. By living from love, forgiveness and gratitude, you can create the space for miracles and sweet synchronicities to occur on a daily basis. Leave this event with an open heart and mind ready to receive all the miracles around you. Scott’s book I Am Good Enough will also be available for purchase. Cost to attend is $10. 

  • “Abs Are Made in the Kitchen,” February 20, 6:30–8:30 p.m. Do you want to make 2017 a year to shine? Are you ready to have more energy and feel better about yourself? Come learn how just a few simple changes in nutrition can make all the difference. You will learn about the benefits of eating dairy- and gluten-free. You can even sample dishes and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine. This workshop is taught by Christal Borg, health and prosperity coach, NASM certified personal trainer and accomplished cook. Cost to attend is $15. 

  • “Discover the Miracle Power of Tapping,” February 22, 6:30–8:30 p.m., Emotional Freedom Technique, often known as Tapping, is a universal healing tool that can provide impressive results for emotional, physical and performance issues. During this workshop, Shana Rosenthal, certified EFT practitioner, certified consulting hypnotist and certified NLP practitioner, will describe how this modality works and explain its impact on your life. This class will also guide you through a discovery process, revealing the root cause of these common limiting beliefs: What’s causing you stress?Why do you keep sabotaging?What makes you procrastinate?What’s keeping you scattered and unfulfilled? Cost to attend is $35. 

  • “All Things Energy,” February 23, 7–8 p.m. Energy intuitive, spiritual messenger and author of Awakening Taylor Rose will share her insight into all things energy. Learn what energy is, its effect it has on daily life, how to use energy to your advantage, and how to manifest the benefits. In addition, Taylor Rose will answer questions and provide a group energy clearing, leaving you feeling lighter and more peaceful. Gain a deeper awareness of energy that has the power to transform your life. Cost to attend is $15. 

  • “Spirituali-TEA Social,” February 27, 7–9 p.m. Social connections are the key to longevity and happiness. In this modern world of technology and social media, it’s important to connect on a personal level. Join us for a cup of tea, coffee and casual discussions of what you’re experiencing along your own life journey. Meet like-minded people to talk, listen and connect 

  • “Stress: Emotional & Physical Impacts,” February 28. Explore the meaning of stress and typical coping strategies associated as learned behaviors. Understand the physical and mental effects stressful situations on the body and mind. Through understanding your current stress levels and prior habits, you can better implement appropriate and healthy alternatives. Join Dianna Lunsford, Doctor of Occupational Therapy and Professor at Gannon University, for an opportunity to change how you manage uncontrollable stressors in your life. Cost to attend is $15 (fee will be donated to Four Pillars Coaching non-profit).
