Fusion Therapy Welcomes New Massage Therapist and New Massage Modality
Oct 30, 2017 07:24PM
Fusion Therapy welcomes Jennie Shien Wang to our family of bodyworkers and yoga teachers. “Sabai” is a Thai word, meaning “relaxed” or “comfortable,” and that's just how you'll feel after experiencing her Thai massage.
Traditional Thai Massage, also known as Ancient Massage or Thai Yoga Massage, dates back more than 300 years, with its origins going another 5,000 years back to ancient India and China. It is widely regarded as one of the best systems of therapeutic massage. Thai Massage combines gentle, yoga-like stretching with massage of the muscles, tendons, pressure points and energy lines. This modality is performed on a mat instead of a table which gives the practitioner necessary leverage for the stretches and postures used in Thai Massage.
The benefits of this practice include relief from stress and muscle tension, improved circulation, unblocking and balancing of energy flow, detoxification, improved alignment, increased flexibility and range-of-motion, improved mood state and enhanced sleep.
Shien Wang, LMT, is a graduate of Sarasota School of Massage, also specializing in Thai Herbal Poultice, Sacred Lomi and Deep Tissue Massage. She is also a certified yoga teacher. During the month of November, Fusion Therapy will add a 45-minute Dry Salt Therapy, following a Thai Massage, so you experience an even deeper sense of calm and balance ($45 value).
To schedule an appointment and add a complimentary Dry Salt Therapy session throughout this month, call 941-921-7900 or visit FusionTherapySarasota.com.
