Mudra Meditations Provide Tension Relief, Tranquility and Transformation
Made popular over the summer, Suncoast Jin Shin Jyutsu is continuing its weekly mudra meditations. Participants have commented on the power of these meditations, with one individual sharing they were never able to quiet their mind during other mediations, but just minutes into the mudra meditation, they experienced a profound sense of peace.
Jiro Murai used mudras in 1912 when he cured himself of a terminal illness. This was the beginning of Jin Shin Jyutsu® as we know it today. During the mudra meditation, participants are guided through a sequence of eight mudras (finger poses)—the same that Jiro Murai used. They can release tension and stress, quiet the mind and connect with inner serenity.
The meditations are facilitated by Michelle Giambra, LMT, Jin Shin Jyutsu self-help instructor and practitioner. Giambra has 20 years of experience with Jin Shin Jyutsu, and she is credited with bringing the awareness of this wisdom to the Sarasota area. Her services include private energy harmonizing sessions, self-care classes and consultations for individuals, families or groups. Mudra meditations take place on Wednesdays, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Suncoast Jin Shin Jyutsu. Space is limited. Reserve your spot by 10 a.m. on the day of the meditation.
