Dorothy Pollock is an experienced Reiki Master Teacher, as well as a former elementary and middle school teacher, yoga  instructor and lifelong spiritual student. She offers Reiki to veterans as part of the American Legion Wellness clinics, focusing on PTSD symptoms, and she has volunteered  and shared the wonders of Reiki to many others in the Venice community.  

Reiki is a hands-on  healing technique that uses spiritual universal energy  to help the body return to balance. Reiki is a safe, gentle treatment in which the client is fully clothed and  relaxed on a massage table. The practitioner works as a  facilitator for the energy to flow into the body. There is no pressure or manipulation, as the client’s body embraces  the Reiki energy and takes what it needs to heal. 

 Reiki is  used throughout the world, including in hospitals and  healthcare centers, to complement other forms of treatments and surgeries, relieve pain and tension, and  boost the immune system.
