Healthy Skin for Holistic Living: Business Spotlight with Ritual Room Spa

by Mary-Elizabeth Schurrer

Celecia Quinn-Jones, owner of Ritual Room Spa, felt drawn to facial treatments at an early age. This innate passion motivated her to become a licensed Esthetician—a journey which took her across Europe and Bali, training in the various facial techniques and practices of these distinct cultures. The fusion of European and Balinese facial massage that Quinn-Jones learned overseas ultimately inspired her to fulfill a need right here in Sarasota.

“The modalities I became exposed to in my travels were not offered anywhere else within the Southwest Florida area,” she notes. “But I knew that, by combining results-driven skincare products and a holistic, comprehensive view of health, I could use my expertise in facial massage to nurture physical, mental, and spiritual wellness.”

True to her word, Ritual Room Spa came into existence near the end of 2023, and it has since transformed into a premier, restorative healing destination. “Ritual Room Spa is inside of a Registered Historic 1920s Cottage, located between downtown Sarasota and Siesta Key. To step inside feels just like entering a luxurious European retreat,” Quinn-Jones continues.

“Each element is curated for a tranquil, immersive experience. You will feel transported from the moment you walk into the dressing room and wrap yourself in a plush, comfortable robe. Then, you’ll be welcomed into our sanctuary relaxation room with soft, classical music and an invitation to enjoy some champagne—or a delicious non-alcohol alternative, such as our white tea cranberry elderflower infusion and our collagen smoothie infusion.”

These precursors finally build to the main event: Ritual Room Spa’s extensive menu of deeply nourishing skincare treatments. “All our facials are customized to each person’s unique wellness needs, so first we offer a complimentary skincare evaluation which includes our special Balinese and European facial massage,” Quinn-Jones explains. From there, you can choose a number of different services to promote full-body health and relaxation.

When asked about a few of her personal favorite skincare offerings at Ritual Room Spa, Quinn-Jones does not hesitate to answer. “Our therapeutic body treatments facilitate incredible benefits. We use French harvested detoxifying seaweed, as well as Sedona clay mud, for both nourishment and regeneration at the skin’s cellular level. We also have some chocolate-inspired treatments in honor of Valentine’s Day this month!”

There’s no shortage of facial treatments as well, she points out. “Royal Ritual, our premier signature facial, is pure comfort and luxury. Our signature facials combine revolutionary skincare technologies with vitamin therapy modalities for deep restoration.

“Our heated amethyst mat treatment is another revitalizing option that uses crushed amethysts to release penetrating ions, remove toxins, and lower stress. We also offer many other effective skincare techniques such as peels, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, high-frequency LED therapy, lamprobe, lash and brow services, and gentlemen’s facials.”

So why is Quinn-Jones so passionate about sharing her immense love for skincare with the Sarasota community? The reason is simple: Skin health maintenance and holistic mind-body wellness are inextricably connected. Lifestyle habits such as balanced nutrition, adequate sleep, and consistent exercise impact the health of your skin. Whereas optimal skincare treatments help resolve certain underlying issues to keep you vibrant at any age. The proof is in the long-term results, so come reap these benefits for yourself at Ritual Room Spa.

During the month of February, Ritual Room Spa will offer a gift of love to commemorate Valentine’s Day. Choose from a 60-minute Royal Rose Quartz Facial with a rose quartz mask to brighten and detoxify the skin ($120) or a 60-minute Decadent Chocolate Body Mask with cacao-infused Sedona mud to soften and tone the skin ($150).
