Release Your Jaw with the Feldenkrais Method

Do you want to learn how to release your jaw, voice and whole self in just one weekend? Then, mark your calendar for “Teeth Clenchers: Learn to Smile and Kiss Your Way to a More Open You” on April 3–5. This full weekend seminar will take place from Friday, 5 p.m., to Sunday, 4 p.m., at Ionie Raw Food Café.

Learn concepts and practical applications from the Feldenkrais Method® with Bonnie Kissam, M.A., Feldenkrais Practitioner®, through slow, gentle movements and quiet, deep-seated muscular holding patterns—even in the jaw. Experience movements that improve organization of your head, neck and shoulders as you discover how simple shifts and actions in fingers or eyes can affect your voice and whole self.

Over 40 years ago, Kissam learned firsthand that she clenched her teeth, but when she experienced an open jaw from studying with Moshe Feldenkrais, D.Sc., she wanted to share this process of the deepening awareness of patterns and mind-body connections with other people. 15 CEs are available for LMTs and movement or yoga teachers. This seminar is offered through a partner collaboration to touch, observe, support and inform.

Location: 1241 Fruitville Rd., Sarasota. For more information, call 941-360-2248 or visit TouchToInform.com.
