Monthly Events at Rising Tide This Fall and Winter
The doors are opening at Rising Tide International with a plethora of events to excite even the most skeptical among us. On the second Sunday of each month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. RTI will host The Rock Rockin’ Kirtan Band. This is a riveting opportunity for the community to come together in a wondrous, fun, spiritual and enlivening way. The Band offers a progressive blend of multicultural chants uniquely designed to foster love and open hearts. It synthesizes the energy of light rock with the soul of sacred chanting. Steve, on guitar and vocals, invites the community to be part of the band as they meditate, sing, chant and dance to the music. Jay adds his Kundalini Yoga training and beautiful voice along with percussion. Jesse is a Berklee College of Music graduate and is a talented percussionist and vocalist.
On the second Wednesday of each month from 7 to 8:30 p.m., RTI offers attendants an opportunity to share and express their prose and poetry, in A Way with Words, Poetic Café. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. These have been wonderful uplifting evenings with extraordinary talent. They are calling on all poets, writers, and wordsmiths to read and share their poetry/writings. The cost is $5 at the door.
The Saturday Salon will start Nov 11 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. This event presents the Mystical Flute of "Keco" Keith Coker. Keith is a legendary flute player and musician in the Sarasota area. These Saturday Salons welcome and bring together the local diversity of unique talents through concerts, poetry, and dance. Each evening is an expression and experience of love, harmony and beauty. Presented by Heart Way, admission starts at $10.
Rev. Zan Benham, will be hosting A Sacred Sound Circle every third Wednesday, starting Nov 15 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Lastly, on Nov 20 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and every third Monday RTI will have A Reiki Share for Reiki III Practitioners. A $5 donation is suggested and bring a table if you have one. There are more workshops and classes at the Rising Tide website, which has the latest updates and scheduling.
