Shop Local at Elysian Fields this Holiday Season
‘Tis the season to support local businesses. Sarasota has been through a lot of turmoil over these last couple months. Now more than ever, the impact of community cannot be underestimated. For over 33 years, Elysian Fields has been a cherished holiday shopping destination, offering unique hand-selected gifts, cards, books, and metaphysical items.
A peaceful alternative to mass market stores, Elysian Fields is an immersive space for relaxation and self-discovery, with intuitive readers available in-store. Elysian Fields also strives to collaborate with local artists, vendors, makers, and authors. This holiday season, Elysian Fields is proud to feature Plata Sterling, a true family-owned jewelry business in Tampa.
Plata Sterling, founded by Ken Newton in 1995, has evolved from his early experiences teaching English in Mexico City to importing and selling authentic sterling silver jewelry on Florida’s beaches and in Ybor City. Newton has also traveled to Italy, Bali, and Thailand, working with artisans from around the world to create unique pieces that reflect both quality and craftsmanship. Now in its second generation, Plata remains a true family business, handling all the design, assembly, and customer service from its Florida studio.
This year, make a conscious effort to include local vendors in your shopping plans. Whether it’s Elysian Fields or your favorite farmers market stand, remember that each purchase has the power to create a meaningful impact on our community.
