Hungry Ghost Festival: Honoring the Ones Who Came Before Us

Whether we hear it or not, our ancestors still speak to us from where they are, in our dreams and in the coincidences of our daily life. They have wisdom to pass on to us spiritually. We are the ancestors, and they are us. There is a lot of power on your side. Listen, they will speak.

The ones who have left us are never truly gone, and many cultures throughout the world hold true to such a perspective. Please join us for the Hungry Ghost Festival Psychic Fair and Open House at The Spirit University where you can learn about this holiday which is a rich part of the culture and traditions celebrated in China, Indonesia, Taiwan, and other Asian countries.

The unique festival is also referred to as Ghost Day in which ghosts and spirits, including those of deceased ancestors, come to visit the realm of the living. It is also about honoring, remembering, celebrating an aspect of ourselves, wisdom that is being passed on to us and that we feel called to reclaim.

At the Hungry Ghost Festival, The Spirit University will have intuitive readers on hand to give connection, comfort and guidance. There will be energetic healers of different modalities to sooth your soul, mind and body. We will also have a series of enriching and informative talks and mini workshops on many metaphysical yet practical topics to help enhance your spiritual understanding and life. Along with the fun, we believe in giving back to the community and finding ways to express and honor our generosity and kindness.

We invite you and yours to be a part of this distinctive and noble tradition celebrated on our pale blue dot orbiting the sun and connect with other seekers like yourself. Learn something new and remember your own loved ones and inner sun with honor and love.

The Hungry Ghost Festival Psychic Fair and Open House will be held on Saturday, August 24th from 11am to 4 pm. Location: 373 Braden Ave, Sarasota. $5 general admission includes all lectures and mini workshops. Readings and healings are $25. For more information, call 941-544-5874 or visit TheSpiritU.com.
